Canon introduced its new camera, the Canon EOS 20Da, which is exciting and is setting new standards in the market! It was presented in North America 01/6/05. The Canon EOS 20Da is sold at a price of U.S. 2249nos, considered available for a camera like this. The EOS 20Da has a maximum resolution of 3504 x 2336. It can also be selected a lower definition of 2544 x 1696, 1728 x 1152. The ratio of the image (width / height) in the Canon EOS 20Da was set to be 3:2, making the 8.2 mega pixel camera Tuesday. Casio impresses with its new conception, the Casio Exilim EX-V8 which is a very special camera and supposed to set new standards in the market! It was unveiled in North America on the 28/8/07. It can also be set at a lower resolution of 2816 x 2112, 2304 x 1728, 1600 x 1200, 640 x 480. The internal sensor on the Exilim EX-V8 is a CCD which measures 1/2.5 " and uses a RGB color filter. Casio implemented a digital zoom on the Exilim EX-V8 with an internal flash which is very handy to any cameras nowadays . The normal focus range between the camera and the object is 40 cm. The minimum shutter speed on the Exilim EX-V8 was set at 1/2 seconds and the maximum shutter speed is 1/800 seconds.

Movies are supported in this model which is always a useful function. The Casio Exilim EX-V8 has an internal storage space of 11 mb extendable with SD/SDHC/MMC card + Internal. The LCD screen available on the Exilim EX-V8 diagonally measures 2.5 ". A video out plug exists allowing you to watch your favorite pictures on television. Connection to a computer is available through USB. To finish, we think the Casio Exilim EX-V8 makes a very attractive camera and we encourage anyone interested in a great camera to consider this item.

Available in Japan at the end of this week the EX-FH20 is 27% smaller than the EX-F1 and 20x optical zoom… I really nifty toys for everyone who desire pushing the limits of photography.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500 has a hybrid control system that combines joystick control with touch-screen operation, so users can make fine adjustments by touch, using their finger, or the included Lumix stylus-pen. In manual exposure mode, adjustments can be made using the on-screen sliders to adjust aperture and shutter speeds. You can also set the auto focus and exposure in frames by simply touching the subject, on screen, while recording. In playback mode, a new Easy Organization menu allows for photos to be selected and viewed by scrolling through the thumbnails located below the main window. Then, users can edit the titles using an on-screen keyboard.

Plus, with an ultra-wide-angle, 25mm lens, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500 can capture almost double the photo area at the same shooting distance compared with a conventional 35mm lens. Also new is Auto Focus (AF) tracking, a feature that tracks the photo subject even if it moves after the AF is set -- especially helpful for catching active children or pets.
Panasonic’s iA (Intelligent Auto) mode is an advanced system of technologies that engage automatically, so the user does not have to change any settings. Maximizing the iA mode, users can go a step further and easily set auto focus and exposure by simply touching the screen. This kind of quick, easy operation is made possible with the touch-screen technology.

Additional Features

Intelligent Exposure: To help correct photos from being under- or over-exposed, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500 instantly analyzes the framed image and adjusts the brightness in areas that are too dark because of dim lighting, backlighting or the use of the flash.
Digital Red-eye Correction: Helps eliminate the red-eye problem that sometimes results when taking flash shots at the night. Incorporated into the built-in flash, the camera emits a small preliminary flash before the main flash, detects red-eye and digitally corrects it.
MEGA O.I.S.: Gyrosensors detect hand-shake and the lens system shifts to compensate, helping to prevent hand-shake from creating a blurry image.
Intelligent ISO: Determines if the photo subject is moving and changes the ISO setting and shutter speed accordingly.
Intelligent Scene Selector: Senses the ambient conditions, recognizes the shooting environment and automatically selects the appropriate scene mode from: Scenery, Portrait, Macro, Night Portrait or Night Scenery mode.
Face Detection: Detects faces anywhere in the frame and automatically chooses the optimal focus and exposure settings so portraits come out clear and crisp. Detecting up to 15 faces, Panasonic’s Face Detection can even track a face if the subject is moving.
Continuous AF: Maintains focus on the subject even without the user pressing a shutter button halfway, thus minimizing the AF time.

Other features include the ability to take1280 x 720p HD video content and still photos with a 16:9 aspect ratio, perfect for viewing on an HDTV. In addition, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500 incorporates the Venus Engine IV processor, featuring more advanced digital signal processing technology for taking even higher-quality images. This is my fourth Panasonic Lumix and each has been excellent from the FX01 to the FX 07 and FX 100 they have all been first rate products. I moved to the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500 because I wanted the 25mm wide angle view and have now taken roughly a 100 pictures in the 10 meg size. No problems it's a great camera sufficient battery life easy to charge, simple to use and good pictures. I found that Microsoft has a program to update a computer SD slot to SDHC so I flip the 8gig card straight to the SD slot on my laptop. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500 is slightly larger than my earlier Panasonics so I needed a new case and yet the battery is smaller so I can't share my chargers. I've no reservations about recommending this camera it is excellent. Note an English version is cheapest in America the export models overseas are more expensive while there are Japanese language only versions deeply discounted.

The Canon PowerShot A75 is the 2004 update to Canon's wildly popular PowerShot A70 model from 2003. Changes from the earlier PowerShot A70 are evolutionary rather than revolutionary, but there are plenty of them nonetheless. There's a larger LCD (1.8 inches, up from 1.5), more Special modes, and a faster, more efficient DIGIC processor. The PowerShot A75 also debuts at $50 cheaper than its predecessor. Featuring a full 13 shooting modes, the Canon A75 offers not only manual and full-auto exposure control, but five preset capture modes, and six Scene modes to boot. The powershot A75 has a maximum shutter speed of 1/2,000 second, and includes a Custom white balance setting. Best of all, the camera accommodates a wide range of users with its variable level of exposure control. Experienced shooters will appreciate the Manual, Aperture Priority, and Shutter Priority modes, while novices will find the Auto, Program AE, and Scene modes useful. Plus, the PowerShot A75 has a 9-point AF system (up from the A70's 5-point AF), and the benefit of Canon optics with its 3x zoom lens.
